Queue
The system maintains Workflow queues on new Rx orders, holds, physician action, DUR, rejects and verification.

§  The Refill Queue manages refill requests, prior authorizations was well as displaying the status. Requests can be receive automatically through an interactive voice response system (IVR), reducing time spent on the telephone or via the Internet.

§  For prescriptions that have expired or have no refills remaining, a fax, or electronic request can be sent automatically to physicians requesting a new prescription or additional refills.

§  From their workstations, each tech or pharmacist can view the list of prescriptions in the queue by different criteria, such as those waiting to be delivered, mailed, picked up at certain times, and those waiting for refill authorization, etc.

§  For each RX entered into the Queue, there is a note field that can be used to record special services or requests by the patient, such as requests for delivery of OTC items or reminders for the tech to call the patient when an order has been filled.

In addition, the queue will list electronic prescriptions (eScript) and faxes as they are received or sent out.
